Chamber Ambassador Member Visit Checklist

I’ve made a number of valuable documents from the forth coming book, “The Chamber of Commerce Bible,” available here on my website in order to help you. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Also, please use them for your own purposes but do not re-publish these documents as they are copywritten by my publisher and myself.

Ambassadors are critical to the success of a Chamber of Commerce. Beyond simply promoting the chamber they are the eyes and ears of the chamber. And, as such, they need structure and a mission. The following is a checklist that that I put together that each Ambassador should go through prior to engaging with a member or prospective member of the chamber.

A Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Member Visit checklist should include the following items:

  1. Preparation: Review the business’s information, including their website and social media profiles, and any other relevant details about their products or services.
  2. Introduction: Introduce yourself and explain the purpose of the visit, which is to learn more about the business and how the chamber can assist them.
  3. Tour: Request a tour of the business’s facilities and ask to see any products or services they offer.
  4. Discussion: Ask about the business’s current challenges, goals and opportunities, and any upcoming events or promotions.
  5. Feedback: Gather feedback on the business’s experience with the chamber and any suggestions for how the chamber can improve its services.
  6. Follow-up: Send a thank-you note to the business and schedule a follow-up call to discuss any actions taken by the chamber to help the business.
  7. Report: Report the visit and feedback to the chamber’s staff and leadership.
  8. Connect: Connect the business with other chamber members or resources as needed.
  9. Measure: Track the number of visits and feedback from the business, and use this data to measure the effectiveness of the ambassador program and make adjustments as needed.
